Othneil Chambers Sr.

Founder · Singer · Songwriter · Philadelphia, PA

Bio

An original. A fresh new sound from an old soul, saturated in Afro-Americana textures. A style that's unhinged and raw. Othneil Chambers Sr.'s music is pivotal to a generation who is searching for our way back home.

Philadelphia born, Darby raised, Othneil Chambers was born to two Jamaican, Christian parents who later divorced when he was 8 years old.

While attending church as a kid, Othneil developed a love for music and musical instruments. His first instrument, the bass guitar, was a key tool in his adolescence — keeping him out of trouble and focused on mastering his craft. At 15, his God-Brother from Canada showed him FL Studio, which would open the flood gates of his musical career. From there he would go on to produce for various industry artists, such as French Montana and the late Nipsey Hussle.

While discovering himself through journeying across America, his love for writing music blossomed and he committed to writing songs to his own productions — which transformed into finding his own personal genre and artistry now known as G-Rock, a blend of acoustic/electric rock, country, hip hop, reggae and roll with a gospel message.

Although Othneil is currently a full-time husband, father, firefighter, musician and entrepreneur, he continues to thrive through his passion for worship and songwriting.
